Official Synopsis sourced from Wiki Grayskull and Wikipedia (CC BY-SA). Composed for heman.org 2026-05-18 Synopsis

On Trolla, a Guard guard informs Dree Elle and Yukkers that the Horn of Evil has been stolen by Trap Jaw and Clawful. Dree Elle decides to travel to Eternia to warn Orko, using his Magic Pyramid. Yukkers convinces her to take him along.

On Eternia, Adam, Cringer and Duncan arrive at the City of Colmay by Attak Trak to fend off a meteor shower. The Trak destroys all but one of the meteors, but is unable to continue because of a malfunction. Adam transforms himself into He-Man and Cringer into Battle Cat. The meteor hits a tower, which begins to topple over, but He-Man catches it and straightens it out. With their work done, the Heroic Warriors head back to Eternos.

With Teela away at the Mystic Mountains with the King and Queen, Orko is feeling lonely and bored. He is suprised to see the Magic Pyramid materialize in front of him and elated to be reunited with Dree Elle. She introduces him to her little brother Yukkers, who uses a buzzer to give Orko a jolt as they shake hands. Dree Elle informs Orko about the stolen horn. Orko decides to visit Castle Grayskull and ask the Sorceress for advice.

Trap Jaw and Clawful have already travelled to Grayskull using the Basher. Clawful orders Trap Jaw to blow the horn, which he does reluctantly. The Sorceress attempts to fend off the horn's evil powers from the tower window, but is overcome. The three Trollans arrive on the scene and Orko manages to grab the horn. They flee into the Evergreen Forest and pause. Yukkers pretends to be Clawful and uses sneezing powder on Orko. When the real Clawful catches up with them, Orko mistakes his claw for another of Yukker's tricks and is captured. Back at the Palace, Adam and Cringer tell Teela what happened at Colmay. Dree Elle flies up to them and informs them Orko needs help in the forest. Teela jumps onto a Sky-Sled and takes off, with Dree Elle holding on to her. Left alone, Adam and Cringer transform into their alter egos for the second time that day.

The Evil Warriors have tied Orko and Yukkers up and hung them off a branch. Clawful plans to blow the horn and turn the Evergreen forest into an evil swamp. Orko uses his magic to call the horn to him, reduces it in size and hides it in his hat. Clawful grabs him and tries to retrieve the horn, but only manages to remove various other items from the hat, including a large trap that clamps onto his claw. Teela and Dree Elle arrive. Trap Jaw attacks her, but is swiftly flipped over. Clawful releases a trio of Hover Robots from the Basher. He-Man and Battle Cat arrive and join the party. Clawful uses both his claws to grab He-Man. Orko finds a magnet among the stuff that was shaken out of his hat and uses it against two of the Hover Robots. Trap Jaw tries out his new Swatter attachment, but gets a shock when Yukkers introduces himself and shakes his hand. Dree Elle creates a lasso from a vine and uses it to tie Trap Jaw to a tree. He-Man knocks Clawful into the Basher's cockpit, then picks up the vehicle and throws it into a swamp.

With the Evil Warriors defeated, Teela introduces herself to Yukkers, who is prevented from using his buzzer on her by Orko. Using the old Trollan hat switch, Orko makes the Horn of Evil appear from under Yukker's cap. Yukkers scares the others by pretending he's about to blow the horn. But then accidentally blows on it when his sneezing powder causes him to sneeze. As a black mist emerges from the horn, all sorts of evil creatures appear and attack the heroic warriors. Teela is grabbed by a living tree while He-Man faces a Cyclops, Battle Cat fights a feline monster and He-Man pushes back a gigantic hand that emerges out of the ground.

The Sorceress uses telepathy and instructs Orko to use the song on the horn. Dree Elle finds a parchment with a song written on it hdden in the base of the horn. They start to sing, but the noise from the horn overpowers them. He-Man encourages them to sing together while he blows into the horn to reverse it's dark mist. The evil creatures refert to their original selves and the weather clears up. Still all roped up, Trap Jaw witnesses everything and is disappointed when everything returns back to normal.

Back at the Royal Palace, the heroes recount their adventure to King Randor, who compliments them. Orko presents Dree Elle with a replica of his hat. Yukkers demands a present as well, but is reprimanded by Orko. He still receives a similar hat, but when Yukkers puts it on, water splashes onto his head. Yukkers finally understands what it feels like to be the victim of a joke. To show he's learned his lesson, he shakes Orko's hand without using his buzzer before he and Dree Elle take the Horn of Evil back to Trolla using the Magic Pyramid.

Morals by He-Man closing message, original Filmation broadcast

**Orko:** "In today's story you saw what happened when Yukkers sneezed and accidentally blew into the Horn of Evil. He was just playing around and didn't mean to do anything wrong, but the results were just as bad. Of course, there aren't any Horns of Evil in your house. But there are many things that can be just as dangerous. Many people have been hurt because they were careless and played with things like knives and matches and glasses and tools. So as He-Man always tells me, 'Playing is fine, but play it safe'".

Notes of Interest

  1. Behind the scenes: Script was approved May 24, 1983. Final script revision was done June 1, 1983. The character models were finalized on July 25, 1983. In the first draft of this story, the Horn of Evil was called the Horn of Horror and Beast Man was featured instead of Trap Jaw.
  2. Animation errors and goofs: Each time the exterior of Castle Grayskull is shown, the drawbridge is open when it should clearly be shut. At one point, Clawful even orders Trap Jaw to use the Horn of Evil to open the drawbridge. In the final scene in the throne room, Man-At-Arms can be heard laughing even though he was not present.

Dree Elle, Orko’s love interest from Trolla, returns to Eternia. Orko must navigate the gap between his Trollan competence and his Eternian comic-relief role.
