Mattel's original Masters of the Universe run, 1982 to 1987, broken out by the year each figure reached shelves. 77 figures, every one with box art on file, plus what changed in the assortment each year and what it was doing at the till.
This is the vintage MOTU line only. Princess of Power ran alongside it from 1985 as its own line, and lives on its own shelf.
How these years were set
Release years here are checked item by item against actionfigure411's original-series checklist, which dates individual items, and corroborated against he-man.org's wave listings, which date whole waves. 76 of these 77 figures are confirmed by at least one of them. The rest fall back to our own catalogue and are marked as unverified on the page rather than quietly presented as fact.
Two known limits. He-man.org treats the sixth wave as a single 1986-1987 block and never splits it item by item, so the 1987 roster leans on actionfigure411. And Stridor is a genuine disagreement, 1983 on one source and 1984 on the other, so it keeps our own year until that is settled rather than being forced either way.
Princess of Power is not folded in here. It was a separate line in its own aisle, and split out it holds ten items for 1985, seven for 1986 and two for 1987, so only one year would clear the 8-figure floor. One year is not a by-year section.
The line ran on into 1988 with a short Europe-only wave, and the archive holds only two of it, below the 8-figure floor these pages need, so there is no 1988 page yet. Later eras are not broken out by year at all: roughly half the catalogue carries no release year and the modern lines are the half missing it. Those are browsable by maker and line, or by character across all of them.
