She-Ra is in the film. In a post-credits scene, Adora, He-Man's twin sister, transforms into She-Ra, the Princess of Power, for the first time in live action, and stands ready against Skeletor's forces on Eternia. The role is played by newcomer Lauren Saliu. Director Travis Knight has stayed coy about the details but clear about the intent, calling Adam's sister "a huge part of the franchise" and saying she would play "a very, very big role in another movie." The scene is widely read as the setup for a possible sequel.

Who plays She-Ra in Masters of the Universe (2026)?

She-Ra is played by Lauren Saliu, a British actress and near newcomer, in the second of the film's three post-credits scenes. It is the character's first live-action appearance in the franchise's 42 year history. Saliu's only prior screen credits are the short films The Choice, The Last Straw and Joggers, and the scene was shot in London.

A few things about the credit are worth knowing, because most listings get them wrong. The role is uncredited on screen, which is why it does not appear in the film's billed cast and why IMDb carries it as an uncredited entry. Saliu announced it herself on Instagram in June 2026, then deleted the post after fans complained she had spoiled the reveal, and shared the behind the scenes photos below when the film reached Prime Video on July 22. Because the scene frames She-Ra largely from behind, some outlets described her as a likely stand-in. Saliu's own wording is that she appears as She-Ra in the post-credits scene, and that is the phrasing we use here.

Whether she keeps the part is unresolved, and the two people who could resolve it have both been asked. Knight was asked in June, and said he already had somebody in mind without saying who:

"She is a character that is hugely important in the mythology of this world." ... "I know exactly where that would go." ... "I know exactly who I would reach out to to play She-Ra...I can't jinx it."

Saliu was asked the same thing at the end of July, and answered it more generously than the situation deserves.

"If he thinks there's someone else he has in mind that would be more suited for the role, then fine. I'm a big believer in whatever is meant to be will be."

So she played the character, nobody has said she will play her again, and no sequel has been greenlit for her to play her in. Asked in the same conversation about being told she had made history as the first live-action She-Ra, she said "yeah, I'm just taking it all in." Behind the scenes: the She-Ra costume

Actress Lauren Saliu shared behind-the-scenes photos from set, showing the full Princess of Power costume built for her post-credits scene. They come from two separate days: a location shoot under a marquee, where the costume is seen head on, and the cavern set, plus a few shots from her trailer between takes. It is the clearest look anyone has had at the build, since the scene itself keeps She-Ra mostly in silhouette and from behind. Click any photo to enlarge.

She has also shared training clips on her social channels, including sword work and wire stunts. With the drama Archie the only other feature currently listed as upcoming on her IMDb, some fans have speculated she may already be preparing to reprise She-Ra. No sequel and no such casting has been announced, so treat that as fan speculation for now.

The live-action She-Ra series

Separate from the film, the real standalone She-Ra project is a television series. Amazon has had a live-action She-Ra series in development since 2021. Playwright and screenwriter Heidi Schreck was hired to write it in 2024, and Nicole Kassel is attached to direct and executive produce the pilot, with Robin Sweet also executive producing. It is set for Prime Video and would be the first live-action TV series in the Masters of the Universe franchise. A premiere date has not been announced. Yes. She-Ra is the heroic identity of Princess Adora, He-Man's twin sister.
