In the middle of the afternoon, Teela, Adam, Orko, and Cringer notice that time seems to have stopped. The evil wizard Hexon has stopped it so that he may become the Emperor of Simbar. Princess Kathay, the emperor's daughter, arrives to ask for help to rescue her father and the Keeper of Time from their imprisonment at Hourglass Mountain. He-Man tells viewers of the unstoppable progression of time and its effect of change.
**He-Man:** "Have you ever wondered what it would be like if time did stand still? The flowers and the plants would never develop to their full potential, and neither would you. Time is important to everyone: plants, animals and you. As you grow, you learn and as you learn you change and develop. And that development is the thing that detemrines your future. So time is your friend. If we use our time wisely, we'll enjoy all the good things that life has to offer."

- Behind the scenes: Script was approved on July 26, 1984 and final script revision took place August 20, 1984. The script originally indicated that Lady Spring should be buried up her neck in flowers, Miss Summer was continuously sunning herself under a sun lamp, Count Fall would be busy painting leaves and Mr. Winter sleeping soundly. Only Mr. Winter's sleeping made it into the story. In his storyboards, Tom Sito used the character model for the character Zalt from Orko's Missing Magic to illustrate the evil wizard Hexon.
- Continuity: One of the Holepher's designs is reused from Moak as seen in The Gamesman. He-Man's gallant bow was previously seen in both The Defection and The Greatest Show on Eternia. The electrical giant's character model was previously used for Byte in Day of the Machines and will be used again as the Electroid in the She-Ra: Princess of Power episode Gateway to Trouble. The animation for He-Man's overhead sword chop was previously seen in House of Shokoti Part 2. New animation of him unsheathing his sword beforehand is added.
