On Eternia, the 16-year-old Prince Adam is reluctant to take on heroic responsibility. King Randor is besieged by Skeletor's forces; the Sorceress summons Adam to Castle Grayskull and grants him the Sword of Power for the first time. Adam becomes He-Man.
The series premiere of Mike Young Productions’ 2002 reboot. The episode retells Adam’s origin from scratch, presenting him as a teenager unprepared for the role rather than the already-experienced hero of the Filmation series. The reboot also introduces Skeletor’s lieutenants Tri-Klops, Beast Man, Mer-Man, and Trap Jaw with redesigned silhouettes and a sharper, more biomechanical aesthetic.
