Melaktha's young apprentice, an eager student of archaeology whose curiosity repeatedly puts him in danger.
Stanlan is apprentice to Melaktha, Eternia’s royal archaeologist. He is brave and genuinely interested in the work, but impulsive, and the series uses him as the character whose curiosity outruns his judgement.
His defining story is the two-part House of Shokoti. Ignoring Melaktha’s instructions, he persuades Ram Man to force the door of the House of Darkness, and is then captured by Shokoti and used as bait. He redeems it himself: he overcomes his fear, takes up the Sword of Power and frees He-Man and the others from Shokoti’s trap. It is one of the few Filmation stories where a child character resolves the climax rather than simply being rescued.
He returns in A Bird in the Hand, again working alongside Melaktha. His model was designed by storyboard artist Don Manuel.
