Capture the Comet Keeper

Official Synopsis sourced from Wiki Grayskull and Wikipedia (CC BY-SA). Composed for heman.org 2026-05-18 Synopsis

Skeletor kidnaps the Comet Keeper Zagraz, causing his many comets to run rampant and cause all sorts of devastation. Two Bad appears in the episode of the classic He-Man. Teela tells viewers violence is not the best answer to any problem, as it only causes more problems.

Morals by He-Man closing message, original Filmation broadcast

**Teela:** "Some people think the only way to solve a difference is to fight. Skeletor, for example. His answer to every problem is fight! He doesn't care who's right or wrong. He thinks that might makes right. Well, it doesn't. He-Man knows that. Even with all his power, he always tries to avoid fighting. Fighting doesn't solve problems. Fighting only makes more problems. See you soon."

Notes of Interest

  1. Behind the scenes: Beast Man and Trap Jaw were Skeletor's assistants in the original script but the Filmation Bosses asked Robert Lamb to replace them with Two-Bad as Mattel were demanding exposure for their latest figures.
  2. Continuity: Zagraz previously appeared in The Cosmic Comet and his character model was reused as the Gatekeeper in The Magic Falls. The sequence of the tower falling and He-Man catching it was first seen in'Return of the Gryphon and when He-Man catches the Life Bringer in Journey to Stone City. The animated sequence of He-Man flipping over a large branch was based on a piece of animation from Filmations Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle and was previously seen in The Remedy.
  3. Animation errors and goofs: When He-Man throws Skeletor over his shoulder, his scabbard and sword are missing from his back while they are present in the scenes before and after. Stranger still, the same scene is shown again during the moral Teela is giving, and this time the sword and scabbard are present.

A captured-VIP script. The Comet Keeper character is one-shot but the premise gives the writers an excuse to stage a cosmic-stakes adventure within S2’s standard 22-minute format.
