Every collector knows the stretch where a store exclusive has plainly been made, somebody has already opened one on camera, and the shop that is supposed to sell it to us is still quoting a date. Masters of the Universe Origins movie Teela spent Wednesday there.
Mr Home Arcade put a nine and a half minute review of her up on YouTube at 13:48 Pacific, working through the card art before he opened the blister, and Toy Habits ran his photographs a few hours later. Michael at Toy Habits wrote:
There’s a lot going on with the sculpted armor and costume details, and I’m particularly happy with how the headsculpt turned out.
Target still carries her as a pre-order, and the release date printed on that listing now reads October 1.
Target moved the date, and half the pair has gone
When the two movie Origins figures went up in July, Toy Habits reported them at $21.99 each against a September 24 ship date. But the Teela listing tonight reads October 1, with delivery quoted as October 2 to 7, no store pickup offered at all, and the price unchanged at $21.99.
Skeletor is the other half of the pair, and his listing has already closed. It carries the same $21.99 and the same October 1, and under it Target has written Preorders have sold out and Check back on release date. He went up on the same morning she did. Teela’s allocation is still open.
What the review actually shows
Mr Home Arcade titled it MOTU Origins Movie Teela REVIEW! Whats Up With That Face?! The photographs Toy Habits pulled from it cover the front and back of the card, the figure from four sides, and every removable piece laid out beside the plain white bodysuit underneath. He also lines up six Teelas together, back through the 200X and Filmation collections to the original Origins release.
The comparison shots are the ones we needed. Mattel could have tooled the movie design as its own thing, but she is built on the shared female Origins body, so the head swaps straight onto Core Teela and the Core head swaps onto her. Beside that older figure she is broader and more compact, with the hair up rather than loose. Toy Habits credits the back-card illustration to Francisco Etchart, who has drawn Teela standing in front of Castle Grayskull with her sword out.

What is in the blister
Mattel’s own listing copy puts her at 5.5 inches with 16 articulated joints, a gold sword, and removable parts built to swap onto the other female Origins figures. She comes on a traditional card rather than any of the window boxes the Chronicles line uses, and the artwork behind her is a skull formation blowing apart in red.
For anyone planning to hunt her on a peg rather than order her, Toy Habits read the numbers off the back of the card: the UPC is 194735397419, the assortment code is JKJ35, and the product code printed above it is JNK40.

The name on the listing is spelled wrong
Mattel’s product copy on the Target page reads:
Actor Likeness! This MOTU toy includes the likeness of actress Camila Mendez from the movie but is built in classic Origins style and armed with a sword accessory, ready for battle.
The actress who plays Teela in the 2026 film is Camila Mendes, with an s. Mattel gets it right on the Chronicles version of the same character, where the Amazon listing carries “Camila Mendes Likeness” in its title. So a search on the correct spelling can come back empty while the listing stays under the wrong one; if you want her, search for Mendez.
Worth ordering?
Twenty two dollars is what Target charges, and the head, the gold armour and the rest of the removable parts fit the other female Origins figures, so she earns a peg on our Origins shelves whatever we each made of the film. The open question is the date. Skeletor’s allocation is gone already, and there is a full review of the finished figure on YouTube while the listing still reads October 1.
The listing is live tonight, and Target is the only place it will be!
