A well-meaning but easily frightened Widget who serves as lookout at Widget Fortress.
Squinch is a Widget, one of the small people who live beneath the surface of Eternia, recognisable by his horned helmet and orange hair. He is posted as a lookout at Widget Fortress, a job that suits his sense of duty and sits badly with how easily he startles.
He is naive and timid but not a coward in any final sense: when he causes a problem he works hard to put it right. His relationship with Lara is one of the recurring comic threads of the Widget episodes, since her fondness for him is obvious to everyone except Squinch.
He appears across the Widget-centred stories including Evil-Lyn’s Plot, Jacob and the Widgets and The Littlest Giant. John Erwin voiced him using the same voice he gave the Evil Warrior Webstor.
