Panthor is Skeletor’s massive purple panther mount, the dark mirror to He-Man’s Battle Cat. Unlike Cringer / Battle Cat, Panthor has no second civilian identity, he is always the war-cat. The 1983 Mattel figure was a fully flocked sculpt molded as a purple companion piece to the Battle Cat figure. Panthor appears in nearly every continuity as Skeletor’s preferred mount and a recurring threat to the Heroic Warriors.

Is Panthor the same toy as Battle Cat?
Yes, the same mould. The vintage Panthor was cast in purple and covered in flocking to give a fur texture, and shipped with a dark green saddle but no helmet. He was one of only two flocked figures in the vintage line, the other being Moss Man.
Does Panthor transform like Cringer?
No. Battle Cat has a timid everyday form called Cringer, but Panthor has no alternate identity. He is simply Skeletor's beast.
