Mermista is the mer-princess of Etheria’s underwater kingdom of Salineas. In the original Filmation continuity she has a half-human / half-mermaid form. The 2018 Netflix reboot redesigned her with a permanently human upper body and a transforming lower-body water-form, and recast her as the strategic-pragmatist counterweight to Glimmer’s leadership style.
