The Skeletor Legends maquette shipped in 2020, the second piece in the Tweeterhead Legends Masters of the Universe line and the matching villain companion to the He-Man maquette released the year before. Same scale, same base architecture, same sculpting team led by Eddy Mosqueda. The two pieces lock together on a shared diorama base to form the central confrontation of the line.
The Skeletor sculpt is the strongest character piece Tweeterhead has produced. Standing roughly 48 cm to the tip of the raised Havoc Staff, in a wide-stance ready pose with the staff held aloft in the right hand and the half-sword in the left. The hood drapes over the shoulders in heavy resin folds. The cape is a separate cast piece that locks into a pin slot at the back. The pose deliberately mirrors the He-Man Legends piece, so that when the two are displayed together they read as opposing forces caught in the moment before contact.
Three swappable portraits ship in the box: standard skull, snarling skull with jaw open and teeth visible, and a “Keldor” pre-transformation portrait that is the most-discussed feature of the piece. The Keldor head, which the line never had any obligation to include, was a deliberate gesture to the deep MOTU lore that the studio knew would land well with the collector base. The Keldor portrait swap turns the entire statue into a Keldor moment with the hood pulled back and the human face revealed; the Tweeterhead team commissioned a separate Keldor sculpt with painted skin tone, blue cheekbones, and the distinctive Keldor side-burns.
The Havoc Staff is removable and can be swapped for an alternate “energised” staff with painted green-and-gold highlights for a spell-casting moment. The half-sword is fixed in the left hand. The base is sculpted Eternia rock that pegs into the He-Man Legends base for a paired display.
Edition size was 500 standard, 250 Exclusive with the Keldor portrait. MSRP $599.99 standard, $649.99 Exclusive.
Secondary market sales: Standard $750 to $1,000, Exclusive $1,000 to $1,400. The Keldor portrait is the value driver on the Exclusive. Tweeterhead has not reissued and has confirmed no plans to do so.
