Tweeterhead built the most coherent modern Masters of the Universe statue programme in collectibles. Founded by Chad Love and based in Florida, the studio launched its Legends MOTU line in 2018 and shipped the He-Man Legends maquette in 2019 as the line opener. What separates Tweeterhead from Sideshow, PCS, Iron Studios, and Mondo is the commitment to a sustained, multi-year arc of pieces all designed at the same scale, in the same sculpting style, with deliberate continuity across characters.
The He-Man Legends maquette is sculpted at approximately 1/5 scale, standing roughly 50 cm to the top of the raised sword. The base is a sculpted Eternia rock outcropping with the Castle Grayskull silhouette set into the back panel. The sculpt was led by Eddy Mosqueda with paint by the Tweeterhead in-house team. The aesthetic blends Filmation animation model with the original 1982 toy box art and adds a slight Frank Frazetta heroic-fantasy lift to the proportions.
The box ships with three swappable portraits: standard heroic, battle snarl, and Prince Adam (sword lowered, neutral expression). The Power Sword is removable and can be swapped for a separate “energy sword” piece. The fur loincloth is fabric over a resin core. The chest crest is removable and can be swapped for a Prince Adam vest piece. The base accepts a peg-in attachment for the matching Battle Cat statue released in the same line.
Edition size was 500 pieces for the standard version with an additional Exclusive edition of 250 pieces that included the Adam portrait and the Castle Grayskull plinth. MSRP was $599.99 standard, $649.99 Exclusive, both through Tweeterhead direct and Sideshow.
Tweeterhead followed with Skeletor (reviewed separately), Faker, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, Evil-Lyn, the Sorceress, and a planned Hordak across 2020 through 2024. The line is now nine pieces deep and is the most complete high-end MOTU shelf available.
Secondary market sales on the He-Man Legends sit at $700 to $950 for the Standard edition and $850 to $1,200 for the Exclusive. The piece holds value because the line is sustained and because the sculpting quality is consistently the best on the modern market.
