Earl Norem gave Eternia real weight with his grand Masters of the Universe paintings for the 1980s magazine and Golden Books line, bringing muscular fantasy grandeur to Mattel's toy-and-cartoon universe. He returned to the franchise for a 16-card set included with the mid-2000s He-Man DVD releases, with two cards issued per set. This prelim, among the last professional work of his career before retirement, still crackles with the dynamism of his classic MOTU imagery.
