Masters of the Universe (Cannon, 1987), Original Poster Concept Art by Drew Struzan. The 1987 film Masters of the Universe loosely adapts the beloved toy line and cartoon, blending sci-fi and fantasy as He-Man, played by Dolph Lundgren, battles Skeletor, portrayed by Frank Langella. This piece is one of several comps created by Struzan prior to the final poster artwork, and is pictured in 2010's The Art of Drew Struzan. Mixed media on paper, measuring 22" x 30" with an illustration size of approximately 14" x 22". Signed and dated at bottom right. Artist's stamp at bottom right. A few light stains along the edges away from the image, and a trace of toning from prior framing and matting. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
