Al McWilliams Masters of the Universe: Caverns of Fear He-Man and Skeletor Story Pages 14-15 Original Art (Western/Golden Press, 1983). He-Man and the Masters of the Universe conquered toy aisles first, then kept right on charging through mini-comics, comic books, Golden Books, and the 1983 animated series. For its younger-reader adventures, Golden Books recruited veteran pulp and comics artist Al McWilliams, who brings Eternia to life with crisp storybook action. These pages feature He-Man and Teela battling Trapjaw and the evil Skeletor -- though legend has it Skeletor may have a soft spot for Christmas. Each page is rendered in ink over pencil on Bristol board, with individual image areas of 8" x 8.25" and a combined image area of 16.5" x 8.75". The pages are affixed to a larger Bristol board backing with a protective onion skin overlay taped to the top margin. All text elements are toned stat paste-ups. Slight toning, marginal glue residue, production tape, an inventory label in the lower right margin, and handling wear. In Excellent condition.
