J. Scott Campbell and Tim Townsend Masters of the Universe #1 Wraparound Variant Cover Original Art (Image, 2002). An incredible wraparound cover image by J. Scott Campbell, created for the first issue of the modern comic adaptation of the popular toy/cartoon franchise. On the front are the heroes -- He-Man, Orko, Man-At-Arms, Teela, Mekaneck, and Ram-Man. The back cover brings the bad guys, with Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Mer-Man, Beast-Man, Tri-Klops, Trap-Jaw, and Whiplash. Ink over graphite on two conjoined Bristol boards with a combined image area of 21.25" x 17". Slight toning, held by tape on the back, with light handling wear. Signed by the art team in the lower right image area and in Excellent condition.
