The midpoint of Part 1. The Subternia descent sequence is one of the show’s most visually ambitious set pieces. Adam’s return and his confrontation with Teela about his secret identity is the emotional climax of the season. Mark Hamill’s Skeletor performance in the Subternia underworld scenes is widely cited as the most fully-realized Skeletor in MOTU’s televised history.
