About this release
Point Dread and Talon Fighter is the 1983 deluxe playset by Mattel. Talon Fighter is a winged combat craft piloted from inside a clamshell cockpit; Point Dread is a removable rocky outcrop that clips onto the upper turret of Castle Grayskull and serves as the Talon Fighter’s landing pad. The set bundles both pieces with an audio narration record that introduces the location to children.
Released by Mattel in 1983 as part of the original Masters of the Universe vintage line. A central display piece that combines play features, character lore, and a packaging diorama that drove a generation of collectors back to Toys ‘R’ Us.
