Lakeshore Records has released The Legend of Eternia, a new Brian May track built on the themes Daniel Pemberton wrote for the Masters of the Universe film, with contributions from The Darkness. It went out as a digital single and is on the usual streaming and download services now.
This is a separate piece of music from the two versions of Eternia that hit streaming ahead of the May 18 world premiere. Those were score cues carrying May’s Red Special. The Legend of Eternia is its own release, arriving two months after the soundtrack album and folding in the band behind the film’s title song.
Lakeshore put out the original soundtrack album in June, with Pemberton’s score, May’s guitar work across it, and the title song performed by The Darkness. The Legend of Eternia is the first new music from that camp since.
The film itself is on Prime Video now, and the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD editions are dated for October 20.
