Dark Horse Comics has announced a new 12-issue series exploring the legendary origins of Eternia. Masters of the Universe: Genesis is written by Rich Douek, illustrated by Gavin Smith, colored by Fabi Marques, and lettered by AndWorld Design - the same creative team behind the acclaimed first three-issue arc.
The series launches with Issue #1 on August 5, 2026, priced at $4.99 for a 32-page debut. The first story arc will dive into the origins of Skeletor, the power-hungry demon-mage determined to seize control of Castle Grayskull and conquer Eternia.
The Genesis title serves as an homage to classic Masters of the Universe character origins and is designed as a jumping-on point for new readers while rewarding long-time collectors with deep lore exploration.
