During its MagicCon Amsterdam 2026 reveal-a-thon on July 17, Wizards of the Coast announced a Secret Lair Superdrop featuring Masters of the Universe characters reimagined as Magic: The Gathering cards. The crossover will launch on the Secret Lair website on September 14, 2026.
This marks the first official collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and the Masters of the Universe franchise, bringing iconic Eternians like He-Man and Skeletor into the collectible card game as part of Wizards’ Universes Beyond program. The Superdrop will showcase exclusive card art and mechanics designed around MOTU’s sword-and-sorcery themes.
The announcement came as part of a broader showcase of upcoming Secret Lair drops, alongside crossovers with Stardew Valley, Hatsune Miku, and other properties. Wizards indicated that full details including pricing and complete card lists will be revealed closer to the September 14 launch date.
The Secret Lair x Masters of the Universe crossover represents another major merchandising push for the 2026 film, which has been performing well across toys, comics, and collectibles since its June 5 theatrical release.
