Mattel’s Brick Shop line is giving Skeletor the buildable-bust treatment. He-Man.org reports that a Mattel Brick Shop x Masters of the Universe Buildable Skeletor Bust launches on Mattel Creations this Friday, July 10, at 9:00 am PT, priced at $44 plus tax and shipping.
The 503-piece set stands 7.7 inches tall on a display stand with a metal foil nameplate. The headline feature is a press-down light brick that fires up Skeletor’s red LED “evil glare,” and the bust ships with three interchangeable face plates covering the original cartoon, Origins, and Legends incarnations of the character. The head is posable, so collectors can angle the Overlord of Evil however their shelf demands.
Skeletor product is having a moment. Between Jared Leto’s turn in the June film, the Gym Bro Skeletor SDCC exclusive, the Dream Date Skeletor Chronicles figure, and Iron Studios’ statue line, this bust joins an unusually crowded month of Skeletor merchandise ahead of San Diego Comic-Con.
Mattel Creations drops of this profile frequently sell through the same day, so anyone interested should be ready at launch time Friday.
