Update, July 22, 2026: Masters of the Universe is now streaming free on Prime Video, included with an Amazon Prime membership. It arrived as a Prime Video exclusive, so it is not being sold or rented on Apple TV, Vudu (Fandango at Home) or Google TV, and the paid-only window followed months later by free streaming that was expected below did not hold: Prime members can watch it at no extra cost right now. A 4K UHD and Blu-ray is up for preorder to own. Full platform details are in our always-updated Where to Watch Masters of the Universe (2026) guide.
Original report, July 1, 2026, kept for the record:
Masters of the Universe will be available to buy or rent on Digital HD platforms on July 21, 2026, roughly seven weeks after its June 5 theatrical debut. The film lands on Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies for purchase or rental, the standard premium video on demand (PVOD) window Amazon MGM Studios uses for its theatrical releases.
For a full platform-by-platform breakdown and streaming dates, see our Where to Watch Masters of the Universe (2026) guide.
A subscription streaming debut on Prime Video is a separate, later step. Amazon MGM typically holds three months or more between a PVOD window and a title joining Prime Video at no extra cost, putting a likely streaming arrival in the September to October range.
The film has grossed roughly 110 million dollars worldwide against a reported 170 to 200 million dollar production budget, a gap that has shaped coverage of its home release timing throughout June.
