Amazon MGM Studios has not announced when Masters of the Universe will be available to watch at home, but entertainment outlets have started projecting a window based on the studio’s recent release patterns. MovieWeb estimates the film could reach premium video on demand (PVOD) around July 21, 2026, with a streaming debut on Prime Video later in the summer.
The projection rests on Amazon MGM’s typical theater-to-home timing rather than any announced schedule. MovieWeb notes the studio usually moves titles to PVOD between three and eight weeks after a theatrical opening, and that Amazon releases tend to go on sale on Tuesdays, which points to a July 21 date, or July 28 if the run holds longer. Because Amazon owns both the studio and Prime Video, the streaming window stays in-house, with the outlet estimating a Prime Video arrival around September if the film performs, or as early as mid-July if it does not.
Once it goes digital, Masters of the Universe is expected to appear on platforms such as Fandango at Home, YouTube, and Apple TV, with new PVOD releases generally priced between 19.99 and 29.99 dollars to buy and 14.99 to 24.99 dollars to rent. None of these dates are confirmed. They are outlet estimates drawn from past Amazon MGM releases, and the studio could set a different schedule.
The home-release question carries extra weight given the film’s soft theatrical start. Masters of the Universe opened to roughly 29 to 31 million dollars domestically against a production budget reported near 200 million. A weaker box office run has historically shortened the gap to PVOD, which could put He-Man in living rooms sooner than a breakout hit would.
