Amazon Games and Mattel have unveiled Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite, a couch co-op game that blends roguelike deck-building with arcade-style mini-games. Developed by Bandit Island Studios and published by Amazon Games, the title launches exclusively on Amazon Luna on June 5 - the same day Travis Knight’s live-action film opens in U.S. theaters.
Up to four players can pick from He-Man, Teela, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn and Man-At-Arms, each with a unique playstyle. Adventure Mode has the group working together to collect increasingly powerful cards and fight through diverse biomes, while competitive trials pit players against one another for bonuses. The villain of the campaign is Hordak, Skeletor’s former mentor, and his horde. The game draws on the wider Eternian lore beyond the movie, reintroducing deeper-cut characters alongside the film’s leads.
The game is part of Luna’s GameNight lineup of social party titles designed for living-room play with no console or gaming PC required. It will be included with Prime membership at no additional charge and is also available to standalone Luna subscribers in 14 countries including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
Fans who cannot wait until June 5 can also try Mattel’s Become Eternian digital experience at becomeeternian.com, where a selfie and a short quiz generate a custom Eternian alter ego - hero or villain - with made-to-order merch.
