Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Mattel and Amazon MGM Studios to launch a three-doughnut Masters of the Universe collection tied to the film’s June 5 theatrical release. The limited-time lineup went on sale May 26 and runs through June 14 at participating U.S. and Canadian shops.
The collection breaks down into three character-themed creations. The He-Man Caramel Crunch starts with an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in red caramel icing and swirled with cheesecake-flavored frosting, topped with a graham-flavored crumble meant to channel Castle Grayskull and finished with a He-Man candy piece. The Skeletor Double Chocolate is an unglazed shell filled with chocolate custard, dipped in chocolate icing, rolled in cookie crumb and crowned with a Skeletor piece. The Cringer Claw Cookie Dough keeps things simpler with an Original Glazed base dipped and drizzled in cookie-dough icing.
Individual doughnuts run $2.89, while the three-count specialty box is $8.69 and the full Masters of the Universe Specialty Dozen (three of each character plus three Original Glazed) is $21.99. Catering bundles are also available for premiere watch parties and release-weekend events.
The Krispy Kreme tie-in joins a growing wave of brand collaborations rolling out ahead of the film’s release, including Hot Toys sixth-scale figures, Iron Studios statues, Mattel’s Chronicles and Origins movie lines, and The Darkness’s official theme song. With five days to go before opening night, the marketing machine for Masters of the Universe shows no sign of slowing down.
