Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes walked the red carpet together at the UK premiere of Masters of the Universe on Wednesday, May 27, at Cineworld Leicester Square in London. The event lands nine days ahead of the film’s June 5 theatrical release and follows the world premiere held May 18 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Galitzine, who plays Prince Adam and He-Man, and Mendes, who plays Teela, were joined on the carpet by director Travis Knight and co-stars Charlotte Riley and James Purefoy, who play Queen Marlena and King Randor. Mendes wore a dress by designer Anna October.
Also in attendance were Eire Farrell and Artie Wilkinson-Hunt, the young performers who play the childhood versions of Teela and Adam in the film. Their presence drew attention to the movie’s framing device, which separates Adam from Eternia for fifteen years before the Sword of Power calls him home.
The London stop is part of a widening international press push as Amazon MGM Studios moves the film through its final stretch of promotion before release. Full critic reviews remain under embargo until closer to June 5, with social reactions from the Hollywood premiere having gone out earlier in the month.
