Galitzine, Mendes and Knight sing the original He-Man theme with fans in Brazil

A video clip from the Brazilian stop of the Masters of the Universe press tour shows Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes and director Travis Knight singing along with fans to the theme song from the original 1983 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series. Bollywood Hungama covered the moment on May 26, framing it as a “sweet tribute to OG He-Man” that broke the internet ahead of the film’s June 5 release in India.

The Brazil appearance was part of the international press tour Amazon MGM and Sony Pictures Releasing International are running in the two weeks before opening. The cast met fans in Sao Paulo on May 24 and walked the carpet at Cine Marquise the same night for the Brazilian premiere.

Story-wise, the Filmation reference is consistent with the public posture of the cast and the director on this tour. Knight has previously cited the 1983 series as a personal entry point, and Galitzine’s press-tour interviews have leaned into the older-fan affection rather than distancing the new film from it. The singalong gives the legacy nod a clip that travels on its own.

Sony Pictures Releasing International is handling the international release, with the film opening in India on June 5 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
