Amazon MGM Studios pushed the film’s final trailer and a first official clip on May 20, two weeks ahead of the June 5 theatrical opening. The trailer (YouTube ID rJSmz-zhDxE, runtime 1:57) recaps the Adam to He-Man origin and gives the clearest look yet at Castle Grayskull, Skeletor’s forces arriving on Earth, and ensemble action with Teela, Man-At-Arms, and Cringer.
The official synopsis attached to the drop reads: “10-year-old Prince Adam crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword, the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.”
The drop follows Monday’s TCL Chinese Theatre world premiere and the post-embargo first-reactions wave covered earlier this week. Director Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings) directs from a script by Chris Butler. Final cast confirmed in the trailer roll: Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Sam C. Wilson, Hafthor Bjornsson, Kojo Attah, James Purefoy, Charlotte Riley, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Morena Baccarin, Sasheer Zamata, Jon Xue Zhang, Christian Vunipola, Kristen Wiig (voice of Roboto), and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
