Snake Mountain is Skeletor’s headquarters, located in the Dark Hemisphere of Eternia opposite Castle Grayskull. The original Mattel playset from 1984 featured a giant snake wrapping around the mountain, an internal cave system, a voice changer accessed via a microphone, and a drawbridge.
In the Filmation cartoon, Snake Mountain serves as the recurring villain lair where Skeletor convenes his Evil Warriors and plots against Castle Grayskull. The 2002 MYP reboot redesigned the mountain with more biomechanical and serpentine elements. The Revelation and Revolution continuities preserved the iconic silhouette while adding interior detail.
