Prince Adam, Teela & Man-At-Arms - Stock 26" Pan Cel

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Prince Adam, Teela, and Man-At-Arms Stock 26'' Pan Production Cel Signed by Alan Oppenheimer and "The Arena" 34'' Pan Master Background (Filmation, 1984/c. 1983-85). Prince Adam, Teela, and Man-At-Arms are front and center in the impressive Master cel setup in this lot! The 7-layer pan trimmed cel setup and pan Master background were all created for the popular series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The enormous background (with 3-layer overlay) was created for episode 81 "The Arena", released on 9/28/1984. The episode centered around the alien race, the Om, that visited Eternia and their battle with hand-picked warriors from both He-Man and Skeletor's armies. The hand-painted gouache on board background was created for about 8:20 as the soldiers ready their weapons, carefully watching the troops approaching Eternos City. The pan-size cels of Prince Adam, Teela, and Man-At-Arms were used in various episodes as the characters walked or ran across the screen. As an example, a similar flipped version of Prince Adam's cel appears at 2:03 in "The Arena". The hand-painted characters measure about 9'' x 15.5'' combined on a 26'' x 10.75'' cel. To make this setup even better, one of the cel layers has been signed by Skeletor's voice actor Alan Oppenheimer! Oppenheimer not only voiced the antagonist, but also a variety of other He-Man characters including Man-At-Arms and Battlecat/Kringer. The background is just as impressive at approximately 34'' x 10.75'' and numbered MU 81 and BG 78. The cels have been taped to the edge of the background. Good condition overall with some adhesion of the overlay cels, minor paint wear and linework wear, and faint paint separation.
