This rare and highly coveted hand-painted original production stock cel is from the hit sci-fi fantasy series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and was used multiple times over the course of the series. This lot includes an original Master background from the series, seen at the 16:54 mark of the episode "The Witch and the Warrior." The background is rendered in gouache on board, and it includes two hand-painted cel layers. The 12 field cel and background show minor studio handling and edge wear, and they bear the production numbers MU STK 107A and MU59, respectively. The background cels have adhered to the board, and they show some surface scuffing and debris with taping on edges.
