He-Man and the Masters of the Universe He-Man, Teela, and Man-at-Arms Production Cel with Master Background (Filmation, c. 1983-85/85-87). From the classic '80s animated show He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, we have in this lot a hand-painted production cel featuring our titular protagonist accompanied by Teela and Man-at-Arms, all in full figure! This popular Saturday-morning animated series was produced by Filmation and based on Mattel's momentous toy line. The three-layer 12-field cel shows the burly He-Man with a figure size of 2.75" x 6.75", with Teela standing at 1.25" x 6.25", and her adoptive father, Man-at-Arms, measuring 4" x 6.25", all on a Master background rendered in gouache on a 13.5" x 10.5" background board. The cel is taped to the background with archival artist tape.
