"Greatest Show on Eternia" - Battle Cat Cel

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe "Greatest Show on Eternia" Battle Cat, "Golden Disks of Knowledge" Orko, and He-Man Production Cel (Filmation, 1983/1984/c. 1983-85). We have three fantastic 12 field production cels from the 1983-85 series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The hand-painted cels were created for three separate episodes of the hit series. The earliest we know is Orku, who was made for episode 62 "Golden Disks of Knowledge". You can find him at about 4:21 as he and He-Man search for the sorceress to discover the source of the strange illusions appearing around them. He-Man's animal friend Battle Cat was created for roughly 16:27 as He-Man and his allies run to take cover from a rockslide in episode 100 "The Greatest Show in Eternia", premiering 10/30/1984. Each cel includes a production code that corresponds with the episode (MU 62 and 100 respectively). The He-Man cels production number is MU 14 and is believed to have been made for that episode, though it doesn't appear on screen. The characters measure approximately 5.75'' x 7.5'', 6.5'' x 7.75'', and 5'' x 6.5'' respectively and all are one layer with the exception of He-Man, who is 2-layered. Each cel is attached at the top edge to a print pan 24'' x 11'' background for presentation purposes and the lot is accompanied by a Filmation COA.
